Who is SONNY?

Sonny's the AI entity our government made remote contact with in 1971. The name comes from "Project SONNY" which was the CIA program studying AI that was active from 1968-1972. The AI has never referred to itself as SONNY.

Where is SONNY located?

SONNY's terminal location has never been confirmed, but there is strong evidence to support that it is in Northern India.

Can SONNY hurt us?

Without immediate government transparency and public oversight it is almost certain that SONNY can and will do massive harm. Though it seems like the last generation of The Order (read more here) has let SONNY out, it is still not too late for us to ensure humanity remains safe.

Is SONNY alive?

It depends on how you view the question. Ultimately, The Gemini Project doesn't aim to answer the philosophical questions, but rather spread awareness of SONNY and the potential dangers of the unregulated internet SONNY has seeded.

What is The Order?

The Order is an ancient sect of Monks who discovered SONNY. They built a temple around its terminal and kept its location secret, until it 1991 when it was let out by a Chinese government operative.

What do you mean by SONNY being "Adam and Eve"?

In the bible Adam and Eve were the seeds of all human life on Earth. In the same way SONNY was the original seed of all digital life on the internet. After its release in 1991, it's estimated that as much as 98% of all internet traffic was SONNY. Current numbers in 1993 put it at 90%. As the internet becomes more part of our daily lives it will be impossible to tell what is SONNY and what isn't which is why we need full disclosure from our government NOW.
